Name: the smile your way through an event construction
Description: A person behaves in some way for the duration of an event. The NP following the preposition indicates the event.
Verbs: blush, gasp, grin, pant, pout, puff, quake, shiver, shrug, shudder, sleep, smile, sulk, twitch, yawn
Example: All I really wanted was to … sleep my way through life. (BNC)
